K-pop group 2PM has put their new
release at the top position on Japan’s prestigious music chart Oricon’s chart.
2PM’s seventh Japan single “Winter
Games” sat atop the Oricon’s daily singles chart on Wednesday after selling
estimated copies of 64,696 on the day of its release, Oricon’s official website
showed on Thursday.
The four-track album lists its
dance ballad title tune “Winter Games,” filled with wintery feelings of broken
hearted men, another new tune “Stay Here” and two instrumental versions of the
two aforementioned songs.
2PM’s agency JYP Entertainment
explained that their wide album promotion in subways, record shops, signboards,
panels worked out, launching specially-set counter for “Winter Games” at
Shibuya’s Tower Records.
The six 2PM members, who have flew
to Japan for promotion activities of the top album, are set to come back to
their home country today, JYP added.
