[News] 2PM to Team Up with K-pop Veterans in Germany
Top K-pop group 2PM will fly to Germany to support a meaningful concert led by K-pop veteran singers.
2PM will perform at MBC’s special project “Lee Mi-ja’s Guten Tag, Miss Camellia,” which will be held at Frankfort’s Jahrhunderthalle Hall in Germany on October 26, the broadcaster announced on Tuesday.
The six-member group will perform their hit tunes and co-perform with ‘60s top singer Lee Mi-ja her debut hit “Hearts of Nineteen” to console homesickness of some 20,000 overseas Korean who flew to Germany after the Korean War, mostly formed of miners and nurses.
Led by Lee Mi-ja and 70′s folk rock star Cho Young-nam, the concert will be held to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Germany as well as the 50th anniversary since Korea assigned workers to Germany.
MBC explained that the musical event aims to promote friendship between two countries and further cultural exchange through old and new K-pop tunes.
