[News] 2PM Nichkhun to Make Cameo Appearance in Japanese Detective Drama



K-pop group 2PM member Nichkhun will make a special appearance in upcoming Japanese TV drama.

Nichkhun will portray a top student who has the key to the case in NTV’s special one-act drama ““Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo – Okmoon Institute Murder Case” (translated title), slated to hit air next January.

The Thai-born idol star, who spent this summer in China to star in upcoming Chinese drama “One and a Half Summer,” will co-star popular Japanese idols Ryosuke Yamada, Daiki Arioka of Hey! Say! JUMP, actor Narimiya Hiroki and Taiwanese idol Wu Chun.

Produced to celebrate NTV’s 60th anniversary of establishment, the upcoming drama is the major channel’s one of the representative shows whose first series began airing in 1995, scoring an average rating of 23.9 percent.

Based on the world-renowned comic book of the same name, the drama lastly aired its episode this January starring Seungri of Big Bang and received an award from the Tokyo Drama Awards 2013.
